Ashley young wants Inter Milan to look past their defeat to Lazio and start preparing for the upcoming matches.
Inter Milan full-back Ashley Young insists the Serie title race is still wide open as his side have plenty to play for and plenty of points still to collect.
The former Manchester United man put his side in the lead moments before the half time break against Lazio last night. But the home side came from behind in the second half to turn the match in their favor.
Lazio’s 2-1 victory saw them grab the second place in the league table. Meanwhile, Inter, who could’ve taken the lead with a win, slipped to the third place.
Despite having missed a great opportunity, Ashley Young does not want his side to feel sorry for themselves. Instead, speaking to Sky Sports, he urged Inter to start thinking about the upcoming games.
“The point is that we lost the game and I’d have preferred to not score and win, but that’s how it went,” Young said.
“We’ve got a lot of games coming up. We’ve got to dust ourselves off pretty quick and get ready for the next game. Of course, we’re still in it. There are plenty of games, plenty of points up for grabs and I’m sure we’ll get back to winning ways.”
