Wilfried Zaha has given no indication of staying at Selhurst Park this summer with the winger hotly linked with a move to Arsenal.
Ivory Coast international, Wilfried Zaha has resurrected his career after a forgettable introduction to life at Manchester United. The young winger has become one of the best wingers in England and has been hotly linked with a move away from Crystal Palace.
Despite the shoestring budget Unai Emery has been given, the Spaniard is keen to bring in Zaha who is likely to solve a lot of problems for the Gunners.
The player himself is keen on making a switch to The Emirates and has not ruled out a move this summer.
Following his team’s 4-1 win over Mali at the African Cup of Nations, the winger said that at present, he’s only focused on doing well for his country.
“The only thing that’s on my mind right now is trying to win this cup.”
But when pressed on whether he wants to play for Arsenal, he said: “I don’t know. We’ll see in the future.”
The 26-year-old then took to Twitter with the following message: “Whatever happened to speaking facts?
“It’s sad and annoying how anyone will just open their mouth and speak on things or situations they know absolutely nothing about.”
According to talkSPORT host Darren Lewis, Arsenal have more money than they are showing.
“I think Arsenal have got more money than they’re making out,” he said.
“If you’re bidding £20million for William Saliba, £17million for Kieran Tierney and £40million for Zaha, then you’ve got more money than you’re making out.”
While the club is keen on strengthening, the ownership wants to get things done at a low cost. However, that is something which isn’t possible in the current market with inflated rates. And Wilfried Zaha may cost a lot but it’s an amount that the club should willingly part with in order to tackle the creativity issues they face last season.
