Eden Hazard has recovered from his injury and is fit to play in the upcoming match against Alaves, confirms Zinedine Zidane.
Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard has endured a difficult debut season at the club, having struggled to shake off injury woes.
Playing just 11 matches, Hazard largely remained absent from his side’s La Liga campaign prior to the lockdown due to a variety of fitness issues.
He did manage to recover in time for the season’s resumption but has been out of the team in the last two matches.
Zinedine Zidane’s men will aim to stretch their lead back to four points when they face Deportivo Alaves on Friday but they will have to attempt it without Sergio Ramos and Dani Carvajal, both of whom are suspended.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Zidane informed that Eden Hazard is available for the upcoming match.
“Hazard has felt some injury niggles, but it’s not a repeat of the same injury,” he said [via Marca].
“He has trained with us normally and I hope he can play these final four league matches with us and then also the Champions League.
“He wants to be with us, he isn’t scared of a repeat of the injury. He wants to help the team and will be with us tomorrow.”
