The Real Madrid boss knows the game against Real Valladolid on Sunday is very important and will be played without the Welsh star.

During this week’s Copa del Rey clash between Real Madrid and Unionistas, Welsh star Gareth Bale was injured again.

He picked up an ankle problem and will not be available for tomorrow’s LaLiga game against Real Valladolid.

“It is a pity that he is not available,” Zidane told reporters according to Marca.

“The first one who is not happy is him. He wants to be there and to play. I hope he is with us on Monday.”

He commented: “I worry when a player is injured. I prefer to have a selection headache.”

“It is a small matter, [just] a sprained ankle which did a little damage.”

“I hope he won’t miss any more games and can work constantly, with continuity,” the Frenchman hoped.

“We are happy with everyone.”
