Gareth Bale faced a lot of backslash after provoking the media while playing with Wales with “Wales. Golf. Real Madrid. In that Order.” flag.
Anytime Bale made the pitch since the event, Santiago Bernabeu loudly booed him.
However, Zinedine Zidane seems to have changed his opinion on the Welshman.
The French manager wanted to get rid of Bale at the beginning of the season.
Now, Bale reestablished himself in the team.
“I don’t think Gareth’s role is less important now. I’m making my decisions, you know?” Zidane said, according to Sky Sports.
“I made three changes during the last match and Gareth wasn’t there. But Gareth is one of us, like always, he’s here and I’m going to count on him.
“You need to know that I have 25 players and they´re all important to me. All of them.”
Looks like the Welshman found his way to redemption. It remains to be seen if he plays in the crucial El Clasico on Wednesday.
