Zinedine Zidane feels that the VAR announced the correct decision to rule out Sevilla’s equalizing goal.

Casemiro scored twice on either side of Luuk de Jong’s goal as Real Madrid managed to scrape three points off of Sevilla in their most recent La Liga match.

Once again, VAR evoked controversy after ruling out one of Sevilla’s goal that could have potentially given them a point. Luuk de Jong sent a raging header past Thibaut Courtois to level with Real Madrid. But the goal was ruled out after the referee found out that De Jong had fouled Eder Militao in the box.

Asked about the referee’s decision, Zinedine Zidane insisted that he was right in calling out the goal. The Real Madrid boss also pointed out that the referee missed another instance on the basis of which another one of Sevilla’s goal could have been canceled.

“What I can say is that I saw the incident and it’s a block, there’s a foul. The referee saw it on VAR, and he gave the foul,” Zidane said as per Goal.

“For the second, there’s a hand. He doesn’t give it. I can’t explain anything, and I never get into evaluating these things. It’s for the referee to decide.

“Sometimes these things go against you and sometimes in your favor. It’s a difficult job. It’s for them to decide,” Zinedine Zidane added.

“For me, there’s a block, it’s a foul and it’s really normal.”
