Zinedine Zidane believes his Real Madrid side were doing just fine against Manchester City until they suffered a ten-minute lapse in concentration.

Between the 78th minute and the 86th minute, Real Madrid went from in control and comfortable to catastrophe.

As the clock ticked and the 77th minute came to an end, Real led Manchester City 1-0.

When the clock struck the 87th minute, they had conceded two goals and had their captain sent off.

Los Blancos manager Zidane is not hitting the panic button just yet though, or throwing in the towel.

In an interview reported by the Evening Standard, he admits it was a missed opportunity but a brief spell of mistakes cost them.

He said:

“It’s not a physical problem, it’s more about concentration because in the end we made mistakes.”

“The only thing we can do is to look at it, try to analyze it well.”

“I can’t say any more.”

“The 10 minutes, in the end, were very difficult, but before that wasn’t.”

“We have to be more together and keep working.”

“We have to go there and win, we know the situation and we have lost an opportunity here.”

“But there is still another we can change.”
