Increasingly losing faith in the inexperienced manager, the defending champions look to facilitate the arrival of the French tactician.

Zinedine Zidane is a managerial target for Juventus with Cristiano Ronaldo set to play a crucial role in his recruitment, according to Don Balon.

It came as a big surprise for the fans when Juventus handed the team’s reins, after taking it from Maurizio Sarri, to Andrea Pirlo.

Pirlo’s UEFA Pro coaching license was barely one year old and he had only just started his managerial career with the club’s reserve side when he received the offer from the senior team.

The Bianconeri have experienced too many ups and downs and are lagging behind in the title race, and the supporters are unimpressed so far with Pirlo as the head coach.

Don Balon has relaunched the profile of Zidane for Juve claiming the Frenchman is a “great desire” of the defending Serie A champions.

Ronaldo maintains a great relationship with his former boss and will be used to convince him about moving to Turin.

A reunion might interest both parties with the pair having enjoyed immense success during their time together at Real Madrid, winning three Champions League in a row alongside other major honors.

There are, however, a lot of ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ associated with this project as Ronaldo, whose contract is due to expire in 2022, will himself first have to commit his future to Juventus.
