Zinedine Zidane is reportedly looking to sell five Madrid stars as the club look to raise funds for marquee signings this summer.
Zidane might look to letting five of his players go as Real Madrid look to undergo a massive squad overhaul in the summer.
As per a report from AS, the club’s hierarchy have told the Frenchman he will have to sell before he can buy players, meaning some players would have to leave before there can be any in-comings.
The likes of Gareth Bale, Lucas Vazquez and James Rodriguez are the players on high priority likely to be sold.
Bale has been plagued with uncertainty at the club for a while and it might finally do both parties good if he eventually makes a move.
Surprisingly, Luka Modric is also in consideration to be laid off by Zidane. The Croatian has been key to Los Blancos’ midfield in recent times but being 34, Zidane might consider bringing in a much younger replacement with fresh legs.
The future of Nacho and Marcelo are also in doubt, with the latter recently linked with a move to join Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.
Real Madrid need new galacticos and Zidane already has his plan for that.
The report says the trio of Kylian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga and Lyon starlet Ryan Cherki are the top priority the club want to raise funds for.
It’s set to be a busy summer for Los Blancos as Zidane looks to bring back the club to their glory days.
