We need to analyze the season that is coming for Zinedine Zidane, he has a lot of tactical issues that he needs to fix in La Liga.
Real Madrid is currently going through a delicate situation under manager Zinedine Zidane, nobody thinks they will have a competitive La Liga season.
We will attempt to explain details about the situation through a tactical analysis, Los Blancos have a rough next five months head of them because president Florentino Perez couldn’t close a deal for another midfielder.
As we all know, Zidane specifically requested Paul Pogba this season but Manchester United refused to sell him.
Instead of trying to find a similar replacement for this season, the French manager refused to get anybody that wasn’t his compatriot.
The options were varied, Los Blancos could’ve signed Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen, and even Bruno Fernandes.
But the French manager didn’t like these options despite clearly needing something different than what he already has, the reality is much more alarming than it actually is.
As things stand right now, Real Madrid only has four real midfielders. The names he has to use are Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Casemiro, and youngster Federico Valverde.
The rest of the players who are considered midfielders have a more offensive tendency to play, they can’t help the squad with football creation.

This means that Zinedine Zidane only has two creative midfielders who are veterans with no replacements, plus two defensive midfielders who are more defensive.
The French gaffer has an overbooking of playmakers and wingers, which is actually Real Madrid’s most pressing issue for this season.
Bringing Paul Pogba was absolutely essential for Los Blancos, even more so because the club decided to sell Marcos Llorente to Atletico Madrid.
This is where the main issue lies in principle, but the club has another pressing problem apart from that one that can be considered just as important.
Not having enough real midfielders is a problem that may be able to cover with the playmakers who can perform in other positions.
The chance that the French manager has to make this midfield work is if he convinces James Rodriguez and Isco to play a position that is not their own, he will probably do it but things won’t work the same way.
Another player who could’ve possibly replaced Toni Kroos or Luka Modric in their spots was Marco Asensio, but we all know he won’t be available due to the injury he suffered recently.
Takefusa Kubo didn’t convince ‘Zizou’ and the gaffer let Dani Ceballos go to Arsenal, Zidane did everything wrong just because he wanted Paul Pogba.

Zinedine Zidane’s problems in the front.
Another major concern for Real Madrid is the front, there are few players who convinced the French manager and he obviously didn’t want to keep a few players who stayed after the transfer window.
The awkward situation between him and Gareth Bale can only get worse, and we still don’t know how much James Rodriguez will play.
Not signing Neymar this summer was another terrible decision by the club, having Eden Hazard might not be enough for them to complete an already complicated La Liga season.
The Real Madrid roster is extremely limited in key positions, this will certainly become a major problem as the season moves forward.
The club already started the tournament with a few bad results, which will only apply more pressure to Zinedine Zidane before December comes to everybody.
Bottom line is that Los Blancos seem like they will have another bad season, we can’t see them performing well against the most powerful clubs in both La Liga and the rest of Europe.
This inevitable situation could even become the beginning of the end for Zidane, he may very well resign knowing that the board didn’t comply with all his requests.
