According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are willing to pay Diego Simeone an annual salary of €10-11 million.
“Cholo” has made the move from Atletico Madrid to Inter one time before in 1997, when he was playing himself.
The Argentinian’s son Giovanni Simeone is currently playing in Serie A side Genoa as a forward.
The current Inter coach Stefano Pioli has made a good impression since he took over the job, where he has stabilized Inter’s season. However, he is reportedly not viewed as a long-term option and would most likely be replaced if a deal with the Argentinian is reached.
Diego Simeone took over the job as Atletico Madrid coach in 2011, and has guided the team to two Champions League finals, as well as their La Liga Championship in 2014.
