The Serie A rival, Milan are ambitiously moving for Andrea Belotti, yet the Torino director Petrachi believes that they don’t have the capital for him.
Italy’s international striker is one of the most searched for center-forwards in Europe. Having played a successful season after scoring 25 goals in the league. This has even caught the attention of Manchester united, Chelsea, and Arsenal seeking for his signature.
No interest in the fee
Belotti’s release fee of €100million can only be triggered by clubs outside of Italy.
Last month Milan was purchased by a Chinese consortium. On Wednesday Milan’s director met with Petrachi and discussed the interest in Belotti. Petrachi appears to doubt any team Italy has the potential. Advising that Belotti continues to expand with Turin.
In an interview with SportItalia Petrachi stated.
“Yes we did [discuss Belotti],”
“Mirabelli told me than Belotti is a player he is particularly interested in.”
“I have also advised Belotti to remain at Torino for another year to grow and mature.”
‘Belotti is better than Batistuta’
“If a top club were to arrive that targets the Scudetto, he could leave, otherwise he is staying with us.”
“Are Milan a top club? In terms of history yes, but today they are not challenging for the title.”
“It’s unlikely an Italian club will have the money to buy him. Andrea will only leave for a top club.”
