Before the last round of Premier Leauge, Manchester United are 24 points behind the champions from Chelsea. Just before the season, many people said that Manchester United could compete for the title – a scenario that didn’t happen.

Instead of Premier League, Jose Mourinho has won the League Cup and on Wednesday Manchester United has the chance to win the Europe League when they face Ajax in Stockholm.

Manchester United has played a series of unstable matches resulting in this bad position in the Premier League.

“We have been far from the title this season. A lot of teams has been more stable than us, has had better teams and more time to work. But from a mental and tactical perspective, we have had a good season. If we have a great transfer-window, I think we are in a position to compete for the title next season. We have a lot of work to do, but the good thing is, that everyone in the club know’s our common goal for this and next season.

Manchester United has two games left this season: Wednesday in the Europe League final against Ajax, and on May 21 against Crystal Palace in the last match of the Premier League season.
